HOSTS VIRTUAL NATIONAL CONFERENCE

ALBANY, NY – More than 300 professionals representing the insurance and financial services profession will meet virtually from October 20 - 23 for the 33rd annual WIFS National Conference. As the largest professional association for women in the financial services profession, Women in Insurance & Financial Services (WIFS) is dedicated to attracting capable women to the financial services sector, helping them develop their talents and advancing them toward their fullest potential.

The WIFS National Board made the decision to convert the 2020 National Conference to a virtual event due to concerns surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic. This year's conference, with the theme "Start Your Engines," focuses on empowering women through dynamic educational sessions, networking events and inspirational presentations that support women investing in their futures. The Virtual Exhibit Hall will host more than 20 vendors with products and services aimed at elevating the businesses of those in the industry. Professional development sessions include advising clients going through divorce, optimizing one's executive presence, entrepreneurial strategies for success, helping clients pay for college, impact investing and implicit bias, and many more.

The Accolades and Awards portion of the conference will celebrate the 2020 Circle of Excellence qualifiers, the 2020 WIFS Woman of the Year and Chapter of the Year, winners of the 2,020 in 2020 membership recruitment challenge, and the elevation of five Aspiring Chapters to fully accredited status.

Featured speakers include Danelle Delgado, entrepreneur, author and trainer at DanelleDelgado.com; Carla Fisher, MD, MBA, physician leader/director of breast surgery at Indiana University Health; Jon McGraw, principal partner at Vision Pursue; Maja Jovanovic, Ph.D., CEO of The Professor Maja Company; and Candice Tse, U.S. head of market strategy at Goldman Sachs Asset Management.

The conference begins at 2 pm ET on Wednesday, October 21 and ends at 1 pm ET Friday, October 23. Pre-conference programming on Tuesday, October 20 includes the WIFS Annual Meeting at 4 pm ET and a Pink Out-themed reception in observance of Breast Cancer Awareness Month at 4:30 pm ET.
