ST.PAUL, MINN. (05/28/2009)(readMedia)-- 98.5 KTIS announces Joyful Noise Family Fest, a one-day outdoor music festival on Saturday, June 13 at the National Sports Center in Blaine. Gates open at 11 a.m. for a full day of music, outdoor activities and wholesome community fun.
"We are excited to put on an event that is truly family-friendly," said Dan Wynia, KTIS director of concerts and major events. "We stocked the festival with great musical talent as well as activities that all ages can enjoy."
Joyful Noise Family Fest will feature some of most influential names in contemporary Christian music including Mercy Me, Lincoln Brewster, Tenth Avenue North, Chris Sligh from American Idol, and Minneapolis natives PFR with special performances by Club Three Degrees Band Tournament Finalists, and the Minnesota Teen Challenge Choir. See the full line-up at www.joyfulnoisefamilyfest.com.
In addition to two stages of musical performances, comedian Daren Streblow will provide humorous relief. The outdoor venue will also house an abundance of food, children's activities including a merry-go-round and a field of inflatable bouncers, and a special visit from "TC" of the Minnesota Twins.
"There are so many summer music festivals that really don't accommodate a variety of ages-especially children," said KTIS Promotions Director, Morgan Wood. "We wanted to put on an event that emphasizes the importance of families and the value of spending time with one another."
Advance tickets are now on sale and can be purchased online at www.joyfulnoisefamilyfest.com or by calling the Northwestern College Ticket Office at 651-631-5151. Admission is free for children under 4 and $27 for ages five and above.
