Governor Proclaimed December 9 Realtor® Ring Day

CLIVE, IA (12/08/2011)(readMedia)-- Gov. Terry E. Branstad has proclaimed Friday, December 9 as Realtor® Ring Day in Iowa. The proclamation, which was signed today, recognizes the combined efforts of the Salvation Army and Realtors® across the state.

The Iowa Association of Realtors® (IAR) is teaming up with the Salvation Army to ring the bell on Friday, December 9. On this special Realtor® Ring Day, Salvation Army kettles will be hosted throughout Iowa by Realtor® members and affiliates for the entire day. Realtor® associations in North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, Nebraska, Tennessee, Wisconsin and Wyoming will also be ringing the bell in their respective states as part of this unprecedented day of teamwork.

"Many thanks to Governor Branstad for proclaiming tomorrow Realtor® Ring Day and to the many Realtors® that have volunteered to ring bells in their communities," says Dale Gross, president of the Iowa Association of Realtors®. "This will be a very special teamwork effort here in Iowa and across the region. We are looking forward to a great day of greeting Iowans and helping the Salvation Army with their extremely important work."
