ALBANY, NY (10/28/2015)(readMedia)-- ONE FLEW OVER THE CUCKOO'S NEST (United States, 1975, 133 minutes, color, directed by Miloš Forman) will be shown on Friday, November 13, 2015 at 7:30 p.m. in Page Hall, 135 Western Avenue, on the University at Albany's downtown campus. Sponsored by the New York State Writers Institute as part of its Classic Film Series, the screening is free and open to the public.

In this landmark film of the 1970s, adapted from Ken Kesey's 1962 novel, a newly-admitted patient in a mental institution attempts to organize a rebellion against the iron-fisted head nurse. The film received five Oscars including Best Picture, Best Actor (Jack Nicholson), Best Actress (Louise Fletcher), Best Director, and Best Screenplay.
