REALTORS® from Across the State Receive Highest REALTOR® Honor

CLIVE, IA (11/16/2010)(readMedia)-- The Iowa Association of REALTORS® (IAR) inducted five REALTORS® from across the state into the Omega Tau Rho Fraternity at the IAR Inaugural Gala this fall in Dubuque.

IAR congratulates the newest members of the fraternity, including Barb Kerr of Burlington, Cheryl Nelson of Iowa City, Pam Jaben of Iowa City, Sue Clark-Nissen of the Quad Cities, and Dorothy Culbertson of Dubuque. These individuals join a long list of remarkable industry leaders throughout the nation.

Membership in the prestigious Omega Tau Rho is limited to REALTORS® who have made outstanding contributions to the real estate profession, and represents the highest honor a REALTOR® can receive.

"This is quite an extraordinary group of Omega Tau Rho inductees," explains Kurt Schade, president of the IAR. "These individuals are strong leaders, hard workers, and have a great deal of integrity. They exemplify the spirit of the IAR."

The Omega Tau Rho Fraternity was established by the National Association of REALTORS® in 1950, but is now carried out by individual state associations, like the Iowa Association of REALTORS®.

The Iowa Association of REALTORS® is the state's largest real estate professional organization, representing more than 6,700 members and affiliates. The term REALTOR® is a registered and protected trademark. A REALTOR® is a member of the National Association of REALTORS®, the State Association of REALTORS® and their local Board of REALTORS®. By joining the REALTOR® organization, a real estate professional has to adhere to a strict Code of Ethics and its standards of professionalism, integrity and competence.
