Realtor® Ring Day December 7

CLIVE, IA (12/07/2012)(readMedia)-- The Iowa Association of Realtors® (IAR) is teaming up with the Salvation Army to ring the bell today, Friday, December 7.

On this special Realtor® Ring Day, Salvation Army kettles will be hosted throughout Iowa for the entire day by Realtor® members and affiliates. Hundreds of Realtors® representing all 44 local Realtor® boards across Iowa will be participating in the event. Last year, more than $65,000 was raised on Realtor® Ring Day here in Iowa. Planners are hoping to raise even more money this year as dozens of additional Realtors® are joining in the effort.

Realtor® Ring Day was started in North Dakota several years ago. Last year, the IAR joined North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, Nebraska and Wyoming in this event. The event continues to grow by leaps and bounds. This year, Realtor® boards and associations from 15 states across the nation will join in this unique day of teamwork.

Ringing the bell for the Salvation Army is just one of the many ways that local Realtors® give back to their communities. Look for Realtors® ringing the bell in your community today. For more details on the event and locations in your community, contact your local board of Realtors®.
