CARLSBAD, CA (07/23/2007)(readMedia)-- California AB1825 requires employers with 50 or more employees to provide harassment prevention training to supervisors every two years. Re-training is coming up soon for most employers, and they are once again seeking affordable alternatives. To help clients increase efficiencies and reduce costs, The Learning Engine selected Intent v Impact, a new on-line program developed by Anderson-davis, to add to its course offerings.
“We were looking for a best-in-class, highly engaging, and interactive on-line program that was comparable to our award-winning supervisory series, developed by Vital Learning,” says Elizabeth Fried, president of The Learning Engine, located in Carlsbad, CA. “The Anderson-davis, Intent v Impact on-line courses knocked our socks off. They are like e-learning on steroids!”
The courses contain 40 full-motion videos, audio narration, animation, interactive activities and quizzes. The material is content-rich, easy to navigate and can be customized by uploading a company’s own harassment policy for review by participants.
In a recent product assessment from Training Media Review, writer Sandra Grotewohl gave the program four out of four stars.
"The Intent v Impact courses are as close to face-to-face classroom training as technology can get. They are examples of cost-effective e-learning at its best. My recommendation is an enthusiastic yes!" writes Grotewohl, an ERP Change Management/Training Lead for the Denver Regional Transportation District.
The program consists of two versions: supervisor and employee. The supervisor’s version has seven core modules and takes approximately two to two and one-half hours to complete, which meet state standards. Optional SmartLessons ™ are offered to provide more in-depth content and exercises. The employee’s version, which is not required for compliance purposes, contains four core modules and can be completed in approximately one and one-half hours. It provides four optional SmartLessons ™.
“We are delighted to represent Anderson-davis so we can offer California companies an affordable, outstanding alternative to classroom training,” say Fried. “To review the program, we typically walk clients through a preliminary demo and then provide them full program access to make a thorough assessment on their own."
Companies that are due to deliver retraining should consider an e-learning solution. It reduces staff coordination time and professional trainer expenses. Contact Elizabeth Fried at elizabeth@TheLearningEngine.org or call 760-633-4444 to view a demo and assess your options.
