ST.PAUL, MN (01/27/2015)(readMedia)-- "We are going to freeze tuition for next year-NO increase!"
University of Northwestern – St. Paul President Alan Cureton was met with loud cheers after his announcement to students in a recent morning chapel. Finalized by the board of trustees and the cabinet in January, the tuition freeze for the 2015-16 academic year is effective for traditional undergraduate, adult undergraduate, graduate, online and early college students.
"There are many factors that influence tuition costs and your Northwestern leaders take all of these into consideration," said Dr. Cureton. "We remain committed to exploring pathways to provide an excellent education as affordably as possible and continually stewarding our resources to maintain long-term, sustainable financial health for our organization."
Responding to widespread need for affordability and continued demand for a Christ-centered campus experience, University of Northwestern will stretch within its means to provide financial relief to students this year. "We hear you. And we want you here at Northwestern," Dr. Cureton concluded.
