CLIVE, IA (10/24/2011)(readMedia)-- The Council of Residential Specialists (CRS) - Iowa Chapter congratulates Waterloo-Cedar Falls Realtor® Celia Simmer, Certified Residential Specialist (CRS), this year's winner of the CRS of the Year. The award was presented to Simmer at the Chapter's annual meeting held Sept. 13 in Des Moines.
Simmer, a life-long resident of Cedar Falls, obtained her real estate license in 1996 and is the co-broker/owner of Trapp Realtors in Cedar Falls. She grew up with both parents being involved in real estate and now enjoys mentoring her daughter in the field.
Simmer has been very active in the Iowa CRS Chapter, the Waterloo-Cedar Falls Board of Realtors® and the Iowa Association of Realtors®. She has had many accomplishments in her 15-year career, including receiving the 1997 Rookie of the Year. She has served in numerous leadership positions, and is currently the Region 4 District Representative for the Iowa CRS Chapter. She has a true passion for real estate and serving others.

Simmer is very involved in her community and her church as well. She participates in Casa, a program that monitors foster care children, and is a member of the Lutheran Women's Missionary League.
