Menands Farmers Market Corn Festival This Saturday
FREE Corn on the Cob, Fire Truck Rides, Hay Maze
The Capital District Farmers Market in Menands is celebrating the beginning of corn season with their third annual Corn Festival this Saturday, July 26. The event will feature free corn on the cob provided by local farmers, fire truck rides provided by the Menands Volunteer Fire Department, and a hay maze that promises to be bigger and better than ever. This year, patrons will also be able to sample corn chowder.
Numerous farmers will be on hand not only selling the freshest corn, but other in season locally grown vegetables, plants, and flowers. Other participants will have fresh baked goods, homemade preserves, honey, maple syrup, cheeses, arts and crafts, and more.
The corn Festival begins at 8 AM and goes until 2 PM. The event will be held under the shed pavilion so it will be held rain or shine.
