URBANA, OH (11/30/2011)(readMedia)-- Urbana University senior free safety Juan McKeever (Lake Worth, Florida/Park Vista Community HS) has been selected to represent the Blue Knights in the D2 vs. NAIA Senior Bowl. This past season, McKeever led a Urbana defense that set a school record for fewest points per game allowed on the way to a school record 8 wins. McKeever earned GLFC Defensive Player of the Year honors after leading the Royal Blue and White in tackles (88), including a school record 24 at Southwest Baptist in Week 5. The two-time GLFC Defensive Back of the Year also tallied 5.5 tackles for a loss, 4 interceptions, 10 pass break-ups, 2 forced fumbles, 2 fumble recoveries and a blocked kick. He ends his Urbana career with the longest interception return (94 yards), longest fumble return (98 yards), and the longest blocked kick return (100 yards) for scores.

The D2 vs. NAIA Senior Bowl will bring players who represent both Division 2 and NAIA college football levels to an all-star game format. The game is set to be played on Saturday, December 3, 2011 in Middletown, New York, home of the 2010 D-I FCS Senior Scout Bowl. Players will partake in practices, NFL combine testing, an awards banquet, and a showcase game with pro scouts in attendance. For the players, this will be a 3 day experience. Equally important for the players and fans will be the opportunity to play against outstanding peers in a challenge to measure these two levels of football talent against each other.
