Glens Falls to Host New State of the Art Job Training at Tech Meadows

GLENS FALLS, NY (05/24/2012)(readMedia)-- Mayor Jack Diamond Chairman of the Greater Glens Falls Local Development Corporation (LDC) announced that the LDC has completed the sale of its first lot in Tech Meadows to Local 773 Plumbers and Steamfitters Thursday afternoon.

Local 773 is expected to break ground for their nearly 18,000 sq ft building (APPROXIMATELY $4.5 Million Project) within days.

Financing for construction of the building is being undertaken by 773 members and Glens Falls National Bank

Mayor Diamond expressed appreciation to Local 773 Officials Business Manager Scott Martel, Financial Secretary Treasurer Larry Gonnelly, (former Business Manager Larry Bulman ) and Local 773 members for their commitment in establishing a state of the art training center that will include Clean Room ( training for Global Foundry and Medical Device Firms).

Infrastructure improvements throughout the Tech Meadows site are being funded by US Department of Commerce EDA grant and NYS Empire State Development Grant.

With its proximity to the interstate 87 Northway, Mayor Diamond and the LDC is very optimistic over future development that will occur at Tech Meadows Campus(6 additional lots are available for development)
